Milk Attachment
As many of you know for many reasons I was unable to breastfeed Jackson so when Duke came I really wanted to make it work. It took a lot of work but I was able to push through the jaundice and the lack of weight gain and get him to breastfeed. I was so afraid of losing my milk I pumped everyday. Soon I had a freezer full of milk. I thought this was great because I could leave Josh with the kids and he would have plenty of food for Duke. Well, best laid plans... Duke has never really drank from a bottle so...I have a freezer full of milk. It was such a struggle to get him to breastfeed that I am so attached to the milk I can't do anything with it. A few weeks ago I tried to throw it away, because it is 5 months expired, but I just couldn't do it. So it sits in the freezer as my badge of honor, a symbol of all I went through, as literally a part of me. Who knows when I will be able to bring myself to throw it away...maybe when it starts to stink?

Easter
For Easter this year we went out to Grandma Lanpher's house and had an egg hunt. The kids had a great time. Jackson got a ton of eggs and ate way too much candy, and Duke was just happy to be outside with his family. At one point in the evening we had races. Josh and Travis tied. Gage beat Papa. Jackson beat Daddy. It was great. As Grandma would say, "Good food and good company." Happy Easter!
